One For All

Wi-Fi, ticket validators, passenger counting systems, CCTV – the new ROQSTAR 4GE+12FE M12 Managed Gigabit PoE Switch reliably networks up to 16 IP devices. Four Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports provide a high-bandwidth backbone, while a further 12 Fast Ethernet ports offer sufficient space for peripheral devices. This means that in some cases only one ROQSTAR switch per vehicle is sufficient.

Details Make the Difference

Installation of the new 16-port switch from TRONTEQ is particularly fast thanks to push-pull M12 connectivity on all ports, as no screwing of cables is required. Two uplink ports with bypass relays ensure high availability of the backbone network. The switch supplies up to eight peripheral devices with PoE/PoE+. Thanks to buffered PoE power, uninterrupted availability of more demanding applications such as CCTV is guaranteed.

Standardised and smart

The ROQSTAR 4GE+12FE M12 Managed Gigabit PoE Switch is certified according to ITxPT’s high criteria for interoperability in public transport. It features an embedded Linux system that makes it secure, scalable and stable. A modern JSON interface provides automated management of the devices using Python. Last but not least, the 16-port switch is approved for both road and rail vehicles, allowing the use of one type of device across the entire operational fleet.
